Product Coordinator - Personal Insurance

Job Overview

Working under general supervision, the Product Coordinator assists in the development and maintenance of insurance products and underwriting policies that support and promote corporate strategies for all offered lines of business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze current product state, inclusive of gathering background data, and compiling competitive and market intelligence material that will be used in product changes
  • Provide reporting to monitor usage and performance of risk sharing pools and other initiatives
  • Maintain and update broker manuals and work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to ensure awareness and participation
  • Create broker communication bulletins that clearly highlight any rate or product changes and obtain appropriate signoff from required stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Business Excellence and Business Development & Communications to ensure all communications are posted by the deadlines assigned
  • Develop sales sheets and frequently asked questions tools for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate rollout and product training ensuring that relevant stakeholders are consulted and integrated into communications
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Property and Casualty industry experience 
  • Completion of post-secondary education is an asset
  • Actively pursuing CIP or FCIP designation is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly
  • Strong attention of detail with an eye for accuracy
  • Strong planning and organizing skills with the ability to prioritize daily tasks
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify relationships, problems and issues.
